Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. Want to do something with that special someone, but don't want to drive far? Look no farther than our very own campus.

If you're looking for a romantic musical evening, head over to the Gloria Shott Auditorium. North Georgia's own Dr. Joe Chapman, on piano, and Andy David, on trumpet, will be performing a variety of popular hits and classic jazz compositions from the "Great American Songbook."

The concert begins at 8 p.m and admission is free for NGCSU students, faculty, and staff.
Admission for all others is $5 for adults and $2 for children at the door. Contact Marilyn McKinnon with questions at mamckinnon@ngcsu.edu.

Lovers of William Shakespeare will not want to miss the Capulets and the Montagues at the Hoag Auditorium at 8 p.m. The North Georgia Student Theater Guild will perform "Romeo and Juliet."

Admission is free for NGCSU students, faculty, and staff. Admission for others is $5 per person. For additional information, contact Marilyn McKinnon at mamckinnon@ngcsu.edu.

If the classics don't really interest you, come and cheer with sports fans at the various games around Dahlonega.

The NGCSU men's and women's teams will be playing against UNC Pembroke at home. The women play at 2 p.m. and the men at 4 p.m.

Don't be afraid to venture off campus into Dahlonega. There are several first-rate restaurants for wining and dining; or hop over to "The Crimson Moon" for some funky music and a superb cup of joe!
