The Homecoming King and Queen are to be announced this Saturday at the Homecoming basketball game.

Alumni and students are expected to pack the gym to enjoy the games and festivities as the North Georgia Saints face their in-conference rivals, the Columbus State Cougars.

Each year the student body elects a Homecoming King and Queen who represent the university for a full year.

This year the Homecoming Court consists of freshmen Patrick Pickens and Hannah Bryson; sophomores Jacob Rector and Lauren Ables; and juniors Stephen Sutton and Tori Lord.

The senior women up for Homecoming Queen include Madison Alligood, Jessica Carlock, Sarah Dunn, Lauren Hughes and Maureen Webb. The senior candidates for Homecoming King are Scott Barron, Nick Mote, Grant Partrick, Gaines Robinson and Nathan Turk.

Votes were placed online all week through student email and the results will be announced Saturday during halftime at the men's game.
