North Georgia's Cadets are No. 1 again.
The Boars Head Brigade recently was named the top Army ROTC battalion in the nation, the third time it has received the award since 1991.
The award is given annually by Cadet Command and the MacArthur Foundation.
During this year's U.S Army Cadet Command Winter Commander's conference on Feb. 2, North Georgia was recognized along with eight other ROTC programs.
Other schools included Rochester Institute of Technology, University of North Dakota, Campbell University, Cameron University, Georgia Southern University, University of Cincinnati and Santa Clara University.
The NGCSU battalion was recognized for accomplishing the mission of training and commissioning lieutenants entering the Army while maintaining the standards of "Duty Honor Country," a saying made famous by the late General Douglas MacArthur.
North Georgia previously received the MacArthur Award in 1991 and 1995.
