As winter is slowly receding in North Georgia, now is the perfect time to curl up with that last warming bowl of seasonal chili.

The 2010 NGCSU Annual Chili Cook-Off will be held this Wednesday, March 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hoag Student Center Great Room.

This year's cook-off is anticipated to be one of the best with at least 20 chefs from various departments on campus.

Entry is $5.00 for all prospective tasters/eaters and drinks are included. There is no fee for contestants to enter their recipe. All tasters will be able to vote for the winner of this years "Taster's Choice Award."

Hopeful contestants will submit their chili to a panel of three judges, aiming to win the prestigious "Best Chili Award."

Hand-made chili bowls and desserts will also be on sale at the event, and all proceeds from the cook-off and baked goods will be shared between the NGCSU Faculty and Staff Relay-for-Life Team.

The proceeds from the hand-made pottery is shared between the SPECTRUM (the student art club) and NGCSU Faculty/Staff Relay-for-life Team.

If you would like to enter your chili but have not done so yet, it is not to late. E-mail rwebber@northgeorgia.edu.
